Architectural’s original foundations were anonymous, with no need to reveal who was behind the alias. But the same man who took DJ booths and festivals by storm as Reeko needed a new alter ego to channel his effervescent spells of creativity.
Diving into another realm, Architectural delivers powerful, intelligent sounds that amalgamate classic influences with his own modern take on techno. A path that has taken the Asturian creator down a very different artistic path to the one he initially embarked on.
Architectural laid the foundations with several solid releases to date, among which we could highlight his repeated stints on the renowned and well-known R&S label, debuting in 2020 with his ep entitled ‘Planet is but a dream’, which boasts a space funk sound with techno overtones. Three years later he released ‘Clothed in Light’ where this time he explores drum n' bass rhythms with a clear sentimental undertone. We could also highlight his four releases on Non series, Ellum or Semantica.
With the project defined and matured, Juan eventually revealed himself as the force behind both Reeko and Architectural. Does this mean he's not quite sure what he wants to create? Does he suffer from bipolarity? Perhaps, instead, he is the kind of artist who during the Renaissance would have been called a total artist, a true creator, a master in the broadest sense of the word.
Alongside his concrete releases, Architectural's concept has also made its way into iconic clubs and festivals around the world. Dancers and music lovers at Printworks, MMA, Bassiani, Tresor, Robert Johnson, Awakenings, Audio River or Lev Festival have had the opportunity to absorb his creativity and vision on a new level. As the lines and framework of Architectural's concept continue to rise and take shape, the landscape of Juan's techno vision becomes an ever more defined sound world in which to immerse the mind and soul.

San Francisco-born, Berlin-based artist Chloe Lula has been involved with the electronic music scene for more than a decade, helming record labels and throwing parties for years before beginning to DJ. She started producing her first live sets in 2019, when she completed a month-long artist residency with Drew McDowall of Coil. The experience ignited her confidence in composition and allowed her to combine her classical cello training with electronics, melding granular synthesis with acoustic riffs and metallic percussion to create an alloyed brand of droned-out industrial electronica. Many of these jams ended up becoming the tracks on her debut EP with aufnahme + wiedergabe in 2021. She has since released on Tresor Records, Northern Electronics, Sonic Groove and Under My Feet. Her first full-length album will be out on Subtext this year.
Chloe is a resident DJ at Tresor and has played at Berghain, Boiler Room, Khidi, Reaktor, Movement weekend in Detroit, and countless clubs, festivals, and DIY parties across Europe and North America. She’s performed regularly alongside artists like Ron Morelli, Silent Servant, DJ Hell, UVB, Kangding Ray, and Thomas P Heckmann, becoming known for atmospheric sets that dig deep into the niche recesses of dark techno. In addition to her career as a musician, she is also Resident Advisor’s Senior Producer, a columnist at The Wire magazine, and a selector for her monthly show, ‘No Exit,’ on RefRAuge Worldwide Radio.

Croatian Amor is the solo alias of Loke Rahbek.
Croatian Amor realises a distinct and brilliant intimacy about the bracing pace and chronicles of the contemporary world. Hailing from Copenhagen, Rahbek operates the label Posh Isolation, a place of incubation for many artists from across Scandinavian experimental music, including many of his own collaborators. As Croatian Amor, Rahbek's most crucial and imaginative account is laid bare.
Often using a mesh of real events and places as a platform for a largely dreamlike play, Croatian Amor composing with pop artefacts of the circuits that interlace our lives. Sometimes speaking in loneliness, though often telling of trysts, Croatian Amor presents a longing for indeterminate sensation. Employing a medley of diffuse electronic music traditions, fantastical synthetic worlds are evoked to make this world just a little more habitable.

Cæcilie Trier, known as CTM, is a Copenhagen based singer, cellist, and composer with her classical training apparent across her many and varied collaborations.
Having received critical acclaim from the earliest moments of her career, Trier's album 'Suite For A Young Girl' was nominated for the prestigious Nordic Music Prize in 2017. Followed by the critically praised album “Red dragon” (Posh Isolation, 2018), the album “Celeste” by the duo Trier/ Rosenbaum (Posh Isolation, 2021), the album “Babygirl” (Posh Isolation, 2022). Most recently released is the album “Vind”(15 love, 2023), consisting of 12-piece solo cello compositions with a daf enhancing the rhythm, a distant memory of the kora, a pensive flute or folly sounds.
The music of CTM is like a prism reflecting tactile perceptions, movements, feverish dreams and memories. With a soft and wild intimacy common collective musical languages are weaved effortlessly into the musical canvas, while the cracks in the form and the digital glitches change and move the perspective. The relations between the composed structures, the sensibility of pop and the undetermined improvisations create a poetic and open atmosphere elsewhere.
In addition to her solo project CTM, Cæcilie Trier is known for her manifold collaborations with a vast field of musicians in different areas of the music scene of Copenhagen, ranging from Mayhem-connected acts such as Croatian Amor, Scandinavian Star, Valby Vokalgruppe to Soho Rezanejad, Ydegirl and Choir of Young Believers, over the jazz and Gambian traditional Kora-player Dawda Jobarteh or in duo format with pianist and producer August Rosenbaum, to performing as a trio with the classical guitarists Lars Trier and Christian Sievert, and most recently TLF Trio with Jakob Littauer and Mads Kristian Frøslev, with whom she released the album “Sweet Harmony” on Latency in 2022. Most recent performances of Cæcilie Trier include the cello compositions from "Vind" album as the dance performance piece "Bow" in collaboration with artist and dancer Skjold Rambow, performed at Berlin Atonal, Munch Museet (Oslo) and Arken (Copenhagen).

Adopting the December alias from his 2014 debut 12” on Blackest Ever Black, the Parisian wizard Tomas More found a perfect fit for his techno-punk cuts. Over the following few years More has released across a variety of labels including Jealous God, Mannequin, Return to Disorder and Pinkman, with each record making a natural progression one after the other. His signature noise-driven, EBM-influenced club tracks has consistently become more fierce, as witnessed as an 'exponential growth' with his 2016 EP for Jealous God. Much of December’s music tends to make the best out of minimal drum patterns, part a nod to primitive early 80s industrial and part a testament to his ability to craft dance music that's always interesting yet often intrinsically simplistic.
December's more recent production focuses on utilising his own voice and adding another layer to his sound, a new direction starting with his 12” for Helena Hauff’s Return to Disorder imprint and the following EP on the dutch label Pinkman in early 2019. December’s DJ mixes effortlessly showcases his unique ability to connect the dots between punk electronics, wave, new beat, techno and industrial with ultimate ease. More performs both live PA and DJ set.

Demdike Stare is a collaboration between Sean Canty and Miles Whittaker, two childhood friends from the North of England with voracious appetites for record collecting. After years spent mining vinyl bins for source material, the pair started collaborating in earnest back in 2008, re-appropriating sounds they had spent a lifetime cataloguing into weird and immersive music of their own. The project went on to produce a string of albums: Symbiosis, Tryptych and Elemental that were largely guided by the occult and the strange symbolism their surroundings in Pendle provided, but as a number of intriguing DDS mixtapes released over the next couple of years indicated, the project was starting to head in unexpected directions.
In 2013 the first in an ongoing series of exploratory 12"s brought together under the 'Testpressing' banner appeared on Modern Love, finding Demdike heading into much more intense, brutal terrain. In 2016 these club experiments were refined for their "Wonderland" LP, which switched both their aesthetic, and sonic directions yet again. Their love for dance floor evolutions was taken a step further on 2018's Passion, and since 2020 a step sideways resulted in 3 long form releases with guitar maestro Jon Collin, which only further defied a categorisation of Demdike Stare, and has kept listeners guessing as to what comes next.
Inspired by everything from Industrial music to Noise, Library music to Free Jazz, House, Techno, Hip Hop and Jungle - Demdike Stare have refused to rest on their laurels or become overly familiar with their surroundings, creating an odd tension that's perhaps most evident when contrasting the sheer scale of the projects they have undertaken in recent years - from live-scoring films for the BFI to more commercial soundtrack work such as their input on Xan Cassavette’s Kiss Of The Damned, the Nicholas Cage drama Joe, and the post Breaking Bad Movie "El Camino”.
This forward momentum bridges over to their more multi-disciplinary projects such as their collaborations with filmmaker and video artist Michael England that resulted in the 'Concealed' productions featuring Krakow’s Sinfonietta Cracovia, also featured in Doug Aitkens Station To Station curation for the Barbican, and their critically acclaimed A/V show which debuted at Berlin's Atonal festival in 2017. Working alongside the contemporary artist Phil Collins also expanded their disciplinary experience on a variety of projects, culminating in remixes (My Heart's In My Hand, And My Hand Is Pierced, And My Hand's In The Bag, And The Bag Is Shut, And My Heart Is Caught), performances (Intervention), releases (Mica Levi's Delete Beach) and collaborations across different projects. They've also made an interactive sound installation for Geneva's La Batie Gallery, a recent collaboration with NY Fashion label Eckhaus Latta for their 2023 Summer Collection, and a slew of edit/mixtape style cassette releases that draw from every corner of the music spectrum.
If this isn't enough, they also curate their DDS label, which has seen music from as far afield sonically as their own output would suggest: Equiknoxx's Dancehall evolutions, Mica Levi & Tirzah's uniquely skewed Urban pop, classic melodics from Shinichi Atobe, or outer fringe experiments by Nate Young, Stephen O'Malley, Andy Votel and Jim O'Rourke to name but a few.

Over the past decade multi-disciplinary artist Louis Carnell’s work as Visionist delivered albums Safe (PAN 2015), Value (Big Dada, 2017), and A Call To Arms (Mute, 2021).
His work evolved from its early stages as an exploration of underground club culture, a reflection of Louis’ environment and an investigation of the post-internet world, to something more interrogative and personal in its manner. The decision to move forward from his alias in favour of his birth name declares an exciting new pathway that looks to reaffirm and communicate the environment in which he works today.Louis’ most recent work was transitional single “Fixed Is The Day We Cast Our Lot” (Mute Records, 2021) and a collaboration piece with composer cellist Okkyung Lee (Issue Project Room, 2021). Meuko! Meuko! is a solo project of Taipei based artist Pon, the experimental music producer and live performer.
Meuko! Meuko! bursted into the experimental music scene in 2017 with her unique sound - its shadowy atmosphere undercuts glitchy dance tracks loaded up with samples and toy noises together with A/V created in collaboration with Taipei Based Visual & Installation group NAXS corp. Each performance contains improvisation and elements of new works, combining disciplines of improvisation with conceptual ideas of noise, clubbing, strange sounds, field recordings that conjure at times ritualistic performances with sources tracing back to Taiwan’s own spiritual landscape. Between traditional religion and techno-animism, is the myriad of a cityscape with tropical humidity, it’s greenery enveloping the molding concrete city blocks.
Release in 2018 on Danse Noire, ⻤島 Ghost Island blends mythology and instruments with electronic beats and cacophonous samples on a release inspired by life in—and the urge to escape from—her home city of Taipei. ⻤島 Ghost Island is received as the epitome of merging traditional sounds with contemporary electronic music to bring new purpose to this juxtaposition, using the harsh sounds of modern life to give her music a distinctly 21st-century tension. "⻤島 Ghost Island Live A/V" by Meuko! Meuko! & NAXS corp. elevates audience experience of the mythical world of ⻤島 Ghost Island and goes even further with its immersive VR space. As music traverses the anti-utopian ruins of Ghost Island and Cyber-Dreamscape, the audience might find that this is not a fantasy or a fable, but the mythological reality in which we all live. Based on Meuko! Meuko!'s dreamscape, NAXS corp. has built the lost world that inhabits abandoned statues, floating ruins, stray dogs and hieroglyphics.
As a multi-format Audio-Visual project, <Ghost Island> has been presented in numerous festivals and Biennales all over the world including: Transmediale (DE), Taiwan Biennale 2020 (TW), Sónar (HK), Primavera Sound (ES), Sonic Acts (NL), Hyperreality by Wiener Festwochen(AT), Soft Centre (AU), L.E.V. NAKED is an alias of London & Berlin based Agnes Gryczkowska whose music juxtaposes raw explosions of hard industrial rhythms, noise and metal screamo with arias and monophonic lamentations. NAKED’s confrontational presence during live performances shifts between extremities: from masochisms to submission, from pain to pleasure, from violence to softness. The feeling of fear and vulnerability morphs into that of empowerment, anger and hedonistic pleasure.
NAKED’s most recent EP Killed By Roses (written with Alex Johnston) was released on Halcyon Veil Records in 2020. Killed by Roses plays like a psychological horror drama. It follows the protagonist’s descent from love to infidelity, into hatred, hysteria and self-destruction. Sonically, the production is destroyed, blown-out and heavy, mirroring the extreme, raw and demonic vocals and lyrics. Killed by Roses followed Total Power Exchange (2017) (written with Alex Johnston) which featured in Aphex Twin’s recent sets and Cosey Fanni Tutti’s mixes and used the sounds of sex, vomit and mutilated vocals to create a distorted and violent noise transgression.
In 2018 NAKED debuted a new performance called The Cage, which placed the audience inside an industrial-sized cage in an underground vault of London’s Somerset House. The Cage spoke of freedom, control, abolishment of hierarchies and refusal to dominate and be dominated. NAKED has toured extensively performing in clubs, festivals and art galleries across Europe and Asia including Unsound, CTM Festival, Serpentine Galleries, Cafe OTO, Creamcake Berlin, SXSW, and many more; and has been featured in DAZED, i-D, FACT, Pitchfork, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6, amongst other platforms. Collaborations include those with Mykki Blanco and Yves Tumor, soundtracking work includes Dazed and Nowness. Gryczkowska is currently collaborating with London Contemporary Orchestra on a new record and performance.

OAKE is a German experimental techno project that ventures into the sonic realms of fear and uncertainty. First discovered by Karl “Regis” O’Connor on his Downwards imprint, OAKE has become established as one of the most unique products of the genre. OAKE pushes an unforgiving style that’s demanding of listeners, devoid of stock value or predictable moralizing, and which seeks to find and create romance in a greyscale world of brutalist architecture and all-pervasive automation.
Now a solo project of Eric Oake, OAKE releases on genre-defining labels like Downwards, Stroboscopic Artefacts, SNTS, 47, and has seen remix duties on imprints like Horo, Noiztank, and Cluster Node. The result has been a sound that arrests the listener’s consciousness with a rigorous balance of ethereal vocal seduction and concussive rhythm, projecting them into a world where the forces of techno-science and magic find themselves in constant reciprocal conversation.
OAKE’s intense, theatrical live shows have captivated club and festival goers all around the world, alongside DJ sets that range from grooming night-setting openers, all-night ambient vinyl sessions, to intense techno closings led by a fearless techno sound that brings together all kinds of broken styles – always keeping things high-pace, always full-on, and always producing a particular sense of satisfaction on dancefloors across the world.

Juan Rico, also known as Reeko, considers his birth as a DJ around 1997 while the start of his professional career can be traced back to 2002 with his first production for the Swedish label Emergence. From his early moments in the music scene, Reeko has been acclaimed for his visionary approach and his ability to create soundscapes that transcend imagination.
Firmly established in the techno elite, his early collaborations with renowned record labels such as Emergence Records, Theory, Integrale Muzique, Palicavonzvreca, Planet Rhythm, Symbolism, Inceptive, or Rxxistance are a clear representation of his initial steps in the industry. His best works from that era were showcased on his own label Mental Disorder, founded since its inception in 2003.
In 2010, Reeko further expands his sonic spectrum and creates a new project/label called Architectural, where he showcases his more sentimental, sweet, luminous, and at times introspective and dreamy side, arousing great curiosity from the deep-focused scene, as his sound was strongly influenced by jazz but with psychedelic brushstrokes inspired by the surrealist art of Dalí, Rene Magritte, or Giorgio de Chirico, among others. All of this led him to release works under this alias on major labels, apart from his own, such as R&S, Music Man, Semantica, Ellum, Non Series, or Wolfskuil. His set, laden with intrigue, emotion, hypnotism, and a very distinctive sound design, has led him to perform at special clubs and festivals like Fabric London, Robert Johnson in Frankfurt, or Printworks, and has taken him on tours in Japan, India, or South America.
As a part of the Spanish collective PoleGroup from 2010 through 2020, Reeko released several important works on that label. In the early part of the decade, he also releases his EP on the Soma label and two EPs on the avant-garde Avian, positioning Reeko within the realm of intelligent, conceptual techno. More recently Reeko opens himself up to new styles and experiment with new rhythmic structures. Proof of this experimentation is his collaboration with the English producer and techno living legend Surgeon, with whom he signed "Scoundrel" on Mental Disorder, a co-produced EP that clearly delves into different styles in each track. His recent EP on the drum n' bass label Samurai, as well as his new EP on the R&S label under the alias Architectural, make it clear that Juan Rico has found new ways to experiment with his sound.

British producer Samuel Kerridge has been carefully turning techno inside-out for over a decade. Taking a distinctly post-punk approach to the genre, he's become an integral part of Regis's legendary imprint Downwards alongside artists like British Murder Boys, Justin Broadrick and Veronica Vasicka. Kerridge has helped to define the label's contemporary sound: broken techno and snarling punk informed by industrial music and metal. He's released seven EPs and five albums (including a collaboration with Dva Damas's Taylor Burch) and his latest, Kick To Kill, has become something of a statement of intent, blossoming into a new label and event series with a focus that broadens beyond techno tracks into full-blown songwriting.
Aside from his solo work, he collaborates with Oake in what he describes as the "power metal techno" duo UF and started his own guitar band, Death Disco, with Maxim "Panda" Barron. He ran the Berlin-based Contort label and party series and curated the legendary Berlin Atonal festival for three years, underlining his credentials as a stalwart figure in the world of experimental, boundary-pushing techno. He's also an accomplished live performer, most recently developing a hybrid live-DJ set that dismantles hundreds of tracks into a sampler to make new music in real time. It's an inventive process that places him in the lineage of groundbreaking techno acts like Richie Hawtin and Jeff Mills, while still carrying the flag for the darkest corners of underground electronic music.

Sara Persico is a Berlin-based, Naples born sound artist, vocalist & DJ.
Persico cut her teeth experimenting on the fringes of Naples's fiery underground scene, while finishing her academic music studies and developing a technique that would integrate her voice with analogue electronics, field recordings, and samples. She presented her music in festival and venues like Ballroom Blitz Beirut, CTM Festival, Codex Club, documenta fifteen, Ormside Projects, Dancity Festival, Radical DB, among others.
As an improviser and performer, she has collaborated with a wide spectrum of artists, joining Evelyn Saylor’s vocal ensemble for Caterina Barbieri’s acclaimed “light- years” show at Rewire Festival and London’s Southbank Centre, and performed alongside Elvin Brandhi, The Ex’s Andy Moor, Tony Elieh, Ludwig Wandinger, Dirar Kalash and many others.
As a fearless DJ, Persico straddles vastly different worlds, offering just as much attention to abstract electronic sounds as she does bass-heavy club music, noise, and vocal experiments. She’s currently a resident on Bethlehem’s Radio Alhara.
All this energy radiates from her solo debut “Boundary” (2023) released by the prestigious German imprint Karlrecords. Her expressive vocals play a central role, but her command of precisely sculpted electronic textures and dynamic rhythmic structures is just as crucial to the experience. Deconstructed beats, experimental voice, harmonic music, distorted rhythms craft a dense introspective work that explores intimately the boundaries of the self.

UF is a collaborative live project between a German experimental techno act OAKE and a British producer & live performer Samuel Kerridge known for his distinctive post-punk approach to techno. Self-described as the "power metal techno" duo, UF is an experimental blend of techno and metal influences.
Born at the Berlin Atonal in 2014, the debut of UF was nothing short of explosive as aptly noted by Obskur Magazine, "UF… took over the audience right off the bat with a powerful and aggressive show that set their performance apart." Their music resonated deeply, forging an immediate connection with the audience, setting them on a distinctive trajectory. UF returned to Atonal in 2016 for the main stage with a new live set with the visual/light artist MFO’s concept of circular arranged strobe lights and custom visuals to be beamed onto the 300sqm video wall.
By 2019 the pair had taken their sound to Tasmania for the Darko Mofo Festival where “their stark and brutalist hard techno” took the crowd by storm. Their performance was a visceral experience, an unbridled fusion of metal, drone, and relentless percussion that defied conventions. As Mark Jenkins (RBMA / FACT) put it, "UF was tribal as fuck, pushing the limits with their sonic warfare and leaving the whole crowd with smiles from ear to ear."
“This was just two artists on stage with their desks, a microphone and a canopy of poles with strobe lights. Their music was bombastic, dark and almost industrial influenced…Unhinged, yet completely embracing. Amazing in its frenzied tone and so unrestricted in its palette-splashings of metal, drone and nasty percussion. One half of the duo mounted the desk and was screaming like a metal madman into a microphone, then diving off onto the stage.”
In 2023, after nearly a decade of sonic exploration, UF decided it was time to give their tracks a final shape-up and release them as a double EP. The decision was made following an intimate live show in March 2023 at Ohm Berlin during Samuel Kerridge's Kick to Kill night. It was here, in the midst of pulsating energy and a rapturous crowd, that UF realised their shared ambition: to embark on a future tour, once their tracks had been released.
“Visualise a gigantic Victorian-era steam engine blasting out of the industrial epoch to crush our shiny, torpid future—hulking rotors, churning gears, rusted steel, all delivered with a live visceral energy that set their performance apart from some of their more reserved contemporaries.”

Caught at the threshold of overlapping worlds, memories, and autonomic forces, Van Boom conducts a critical artistic enterprise from his base in Kuwait. As a producer, DJ, and organizer embedded in the Arab states along the Gulf Region, Van Boom is a rare voice in a burgeoning underground music scene as unparalleled as it is pressured by social and state mechanisms.
Van Boom is by his own admission a terminal outsider. His penchant for eviscerating strains of future-cut dance state as much. Inhibited by the obligation to limit self-expression and artistic activity due to the top-down restrictions local to the region, his work questions what is forbidden and what is binary in an uncompromising context. Despairing grievances demand abrasive sonics, and Van Boom does not deliver less, though a self-reflective edge accompanies every extreme. Grappling with censorship and raging towards the state, Van Boom's sharp and metamorphosing music cathartically seeks kinship through depersonalised ciphers born of necessity.
His dread-laced hyper-industrial wares were first unleashed on the EP 'frown.' in 2019, however the following year's 'MORFEUS' EP for London's ANBA label was what sparked urgent attention. Van Boom has since featured on a number of shows on NTS Radio as well as being tapped for Boiler Room's Hard Dance mix series, and his collaboration with Slikback only heightened anticipation for further transmissions from the Gulf. Van Boom's visual output has also gained traction, with the product of an apparel collaboration with Bedouin Records finding support from ACRONYM 's Errolson Hugh.
Encoded into the giddy fragmentation and acidic crescendos of Van Boom's work is a deep meditation of the meaning of difference and disobedience in very real circumstances.
